Daniel Bailey was born and raised in Kentucky however his family is from Oklahoma. It has been said of his music that his music came up in the Bluegrass out of Red Dirt soil. Daniel first fell in love with music while listening to his father Kenneth Bailey, and his uncles Jim Bailey and Bow Bailey. At the age of thirteen Daniel asked his father to teach him the Bob Dylan song "Blowing In The Wind". Once he had learned those few basic chords he never looked back. Since then he has performed in bars, churches, retreat centers, coffee shops, concert halls, parking lots, living rooms, camp fires, and his high school garage band even once played inside a JC Penney's department store.
Daniel has honed his craft throughout the years and become a true troubadour. Daniel writes from a place of passion and honesty about his life experiences and those that he observes around him. Sometimes this means that the songs bring tears. Sometimes this means they bring laughter. Either way they bring a thought provoking message that ultimately points in the direction of hope.
